FAQs for Tenants

Just go to our website, look for an apartment you like and make a booking request.
If you are having any trouble you can always send us a message or call us! We can also help you find a place simply by filling in this page.

We will be happy to help you.

The minimum stay is one month and the maximum depends on the contract type of the apartment. If it is a temporary apartment, the maximum is 11 months and sometimes can be renewed depending on the owner. For long term contracts, the duration can be up to five years.

Usually yes but we are very transparent about pricing so it will be written in the listing if not. We have the two options available: all inclusive or some bills included.

All of the fees and other costs are usually written in the description, since we like to have things 100% transparent. If you are not sure you can always ask us.

Like in all things you rent (boat, car, house, etc) you will need to pay a security deposit. Also here. In practically all cases yes you will need to pay this. Some landlords are more flexible in this then others. Should you have any concerns, let us know.

There are many concerns about the giving back of the security deposit. Unfortunately ByMonths has no saying in the giving back of your safety deposit, however we will always mediate i case there is any issue. In standard cases you will receive it back 29 days after departure (maximum). In case that the place is left in good condition, we can always try to speed up the process.

Don’t worry! We are here to help you with all that. Luckily, we have a team that speaks Spanish, but also English, French or Dutch. We usually always have a translation of the contracts in English and will go through it with you to help you understand everything.

We usually mostly work with bank transfers or stripe for creditcard payments (however we charge an extra transaction fee for that).

You can enter on the day you want and pay for the proportionate amount of the monthly rent. For us it is not a problem. You can also leave on the day that you prefer. We are quite flexible with the contract dates.

Do you have any other questions or suggestions for us. We are happy to add them to our frequently asked questions section for tenants. We also have a frequently asked question section for landlords should that be your case!
